ATTORNEY PROFILESBarry Yavitz Partner Mr. Yavitz received his Bachelor of
Science and Juris Doctor in Law degrees from the University of Illinois
where he was an associate editor of the school's Law Review. He is
licensed to practice before the United States District Court for the
Northern District of Illinois, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals as well
as State Courts in the State of Illinois. He has practiced in federal
courts throughout the country. Mr. Yavitz is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois
Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers' Association. He
has been practicing law since 1971. Mr. Yavitz has been associated with
Ronald Shapiro for more than 25 years, and specializes in obtaining
permanent residency for foreign workers, as well as employment
eligibility compliance enforcement actions and labor law issues of
alien workers.
